Why is this day special, you ask?
We honour our fathers by honouring their love on Father’s Day. The contributions of dads and father-like characters in families are recognised and praised all throughout the world. Brands have an excellent opportunity to generate human touch through real-life experiences and emotions in this way. The goal of Father’s Day is to recognise paternity and paternal bonds and their impact on society.
Brands often leverage these occasions to market their products with heartwarming, funny, and quirky ad campaigns.
These are some of the best international and Indian Father’s Day campaigns which we absolutely love!
1. Biryani By Kilo – #HandiKhushiyonKi
This emotional Father’s Day Ad by Biryani By Kilo sets an example of how it’s done on Father’s Day.
This one will surely make you emotional and happy at the same time.
JioMart made a Father’s Day Film, “For Dad’s love that continues to stay”
There’s a little bit of you… your words, your warmth, and especially your love, in all that we do. In every moment – small or big, tense or happy, we’re at ease, because we know, tum ho na
We would be lying if we say this short film didn’t give us teary eyes!
3. Nike – 2021
To All Our First Coaches, Happy Father’s Day
Nike made us realise that no matter what, our first coach will be the happiest of all the coaches out there of our littlest achievements because he is our coach and our father.
This heartwarming Father’s Day Campaign was a tribute to all the step-fathers (not so conventional, right?), and it showed beautifully how the step-children wanted their step-fathers to legally adopt them and rightly so!
We loved everything about the campaign.
5. Tanishq – Rivaah Brides By Tanishq TVC
This beautiful ad by Tanishq showed us how dads in all cultures are the same. This ad brilliantly portrayed the cultural diversity of our country and a Father’s love for his daughter.
6. Bajaj Allianz Life | Happy Father’s Day tribute – The Unmissable Meeting
In their busy lives, kids often forget or cannot make time to visit their parents. Bajaj Allianz Life made this heart-touching ad where the office arranged ‘The Unmissable Meeting’ for employees with the most unexpected person – Their Dads!
You totally cannot miss this one.
7. HealthOk – Happy Father’s Day – Express The Tough Love

We absolutely loved this one!
This Father’s Day, #ShakeUpTheBond with Keventers
Keventers shows us the goofy bond between the father and the son in this fun campaign where they both catch each other doing something they’re not supposed to do.
This one will surely bring a smile to your face.
Championing Paternity Leaves For Dads Everywhere: That’s what Dove promoted in this ad, and we think it’s amazing!
This ad by Dove asks dads from different places to give a message to the future dads.
10. Dollar Shave Club
The Dollar Shave Club spent time searching for an appealing Father’s Day marketing idea before coming up with the Dad Bod film. The marketing is anything from cliched.
It starts unexpectedly (even strangely) and pulls you into the video with these fathers’ incredible dance. The brand honours fathers’ various bodies while also adding humour to the story.
You’re going to love this; we promise you that!
#KhulKeBolo #HappyFathersDay #PhilipsOneBlade
Philips collaborated with TVF’s most beloved series of 2021 – Aspirant’s actors, Abhilash and Dhairya, to make this beautiful ad where Dhairya encourages Abhilash to express his love towards his dad.
This ad shows how hard it is for men to express their love towards their dads and how they shed their apprehensions to offer some much-needed love to their dads. Eleve made this campaign a massive success for Philips by finding the right audience reach through the influencers.
12. Domino’s India’s ‘dad talk’
Domino’s India recreated the most famous dad quotes ‘Hamare zamane me to…’ in a hilarious way.
We all loved how relatable it was!
Here is a report by ITG on how the brands leveraged the Father’s Day opportunity in 2021 by going strong and boldly with their supermarket ads.
“While digital advertising grew more than 60% over 2019, traditional advertising saw a dip of 6% in 2021 over 2019. TV was the only traditional medium that surpassed the pre-Covid revenues. A number of cricketing tournaments and reality shows have contributed to this growth. For 2022, after carefully considering multiple micro and macro trends globally, we forecast a 20% growth in the overall AdEx, taking the Indian advertising industry’s value to 90,000 crores. India will remain the fastest-growing advertising market, followed by Russia (14%), the USA (13%), and China (11%). While we expect traditional AdEx to grow by 15%, digital will be growing by 30%. In fact, digital might surpass television as the largest advertising medium. It is expected to grow by eight thousand crores to reach 33 thousand crores in valuation over 2022,” said Sam Balsara, Chairman and Managing Director, Madison World. Here is the report that shows the tremendous growth in the advertising industry.
Indian Adex registered the highest growth among all countries. There was a zoom of 50% in the Digital Adex.
