By tapping location tags in posts on your Feed or in Stories, you can find a new location. On the Explore page, you can also conduct a name-based search for a city, neighbourhood, or location. Instagram adds that local hashtags like “#sanfrancisco” can be searched for using the hashtag feature. To find out more, you may also browse recent articles, popular pieces, and pertinent guides to categorised places.
If you come upon a place that piques your curiosity, you can store it and come back to it later. Additionally, you can share locations with friends or groups via direct messages. You can also include location tags or stickers in your material to make it visible to others on the map if your profile is public.
Instagram’s map experience previously only consisted of posts. Users can now search the map, use filtering options, and move the map around to see what’s around, thanks to this latest update. The revised map is currently accessible on Instagram, according to Meta.
Instagram may be able to further compete with Google’s core offerings by introducing a more user-friendly and dynamic map experience by facilitating location discovery within its app.
